There was a story in the news today about a motorcycle – car accident. The accident took place on Saturday, July 3rd, around 10:30 p.m.  According to Norton Shores Police, a motorcycle crashed into a vehicle that was making a turn at the intersection of Sternberg and Grand Haven roads. The motorcyclist suffers serious injuries and was taken to the Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids. The driver of the car does not suffer any injuries. It has not been determined who is at fault.

While I was reading through todays news, I read about a tragic Barry County Multiple Car Accident in Hastings on M-37 near Shriner Street. According to Police, a man was driving north when he allegedly took his eyes off the road for a moment and rear-ended the car of a Hastings woman preparing to turn onto Shriner street.The impact spun the Hasting woman’s vehicle into oncoming traffic where it was struck by two southbound vehicles.

One of the southbound cars’ passenger was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. All four drivers and a 4-year-old passenger were seriously injured and taken Pennock Hospital in Hastings. The severity of their injuries is not known. Police continue to investigate this accident.
