There was a story in the paper today about one person killed and another hurt in a multiple vehicle accident in Coldwater on December 4 in Branch County. According to the Coldwater police, two cars and a commercial delivery truck allegedly collided on US-12 on Coldwater’s west end. One driver was killed and a passenger in one of the cars was seriously injured. Police are still currently investigating the accident.

Ovid Township Pedestrian Accident

I read a story in the news today about an Ovid Township Pedestrian Accident on Tuesday, October 20th. According to the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, a teenager was driving south on Lake Drive when his vehicle allegedly drifted off the road and hit a woman walking northbound with her dogs. When the police found her, she was lying in the grass with obvious serious injuries. She was airlifted to Bronson Methodist hospital for treatment. Police are still investigating this accident.

Fatal Coldwater Car Accident

I read a tragic story in the news today about a Fatal Coldwater Car Accident that happened yesterday. According to the Branch County Sheriff’s office, a Coldwater woman was driving her Honda north on Fremont Road and pulled into the intersection with M-12 to make a left turn when her vehicle was allegedly struck by a pick-up truck, that had 4 minor children as passengers. The Coldwater woman was declared dead at the scene and one of the minor children was transported to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. The accident is still under investigation.
