Fatal Georgetown Township Car Accident

There was a tragic story in the paper today about a man seriously injured in a fatal Georgetown Township car accident on January 12th in Ottawa County. According to the Ottawa County Sheriff, an 18-year-old Jenison teen was driving his vehicle on Port Sheldon Road, at Brook Field, when he allegedly crossed the center line and collided head on with a Nissan pick-up truck, driven by a 46-year-old Hudsonville man. The Hudsonville man suffered serious injuries to his leg and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The teen did not survive the crash. Police are still investigating this accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this accident and hope the injured Hudsonville man has a complete and full recovery from their serious injuries. My most sincere condolences to the faily of the teen for their loss.

She was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital before being transported to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids for treatment of her serious injuries. Police are still investigating the accident.

Fatal Car Accident in Grand Haven, Michigan

I saw on the news a tragic story about Fatal Car Accident in Grand Haven, Michigan caused by the recent severe thunderstorms. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, a 35-year-old man was driving on Mercury Drive when a large branch from a tree, damaged in the thunderstorm, allegedly dropped on his vehicle. He crashed and was killed as a result of the limb hitting him in the head. The two passengers in the car were uninjured.
