The car that was struck held Dianna Medema and her grandaughter, 16 year old Brittany Medema.  Both individuals were taken to the hospital and suffer serious injuries as well.

There was a story in the paper today two drivers seriously injured in a Paw Paw Township head-on car accident on February 13th in Berrien County. According to the police, a 40-year-old Grand Junction man in a Dodge Durango was driving southbound on 41 st Street when he allegedly crossed the center-line and collided head-on with Chevy pick-up truck, driven by a 21-year-old Paw Paw Man. There was a tragic story in the paper today about a man seriously injured in a fatal Georgetown Township car accident on January 12th in Ottawa County. According to the Ottawa County Sheriff, an 18-year-old Jenison teen was driving his vehicle on Port Sheldon Road, at Brook Field, when he allegedly crossed the center line and collided head on with a Nissan pick-up truck, driven by a 46-year-old Hudsonville man. The Hudsonville man suffered serious injuries to his leg and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The teen did not survive the crash. Police are still investigating this accident.

According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, a Dodge Dakota pick-up truck was northbound on Lincoln Lake Road, just north of 6 Mile Road, when the 18-year-old driver allegedly lost control and struck a Pontiac Grand Am, driven by a 36-year old man, traveling southbound. According to the Michigan State Police, the councilman was allegedly tailgating a car on East Bridge Street, driven by a 70-year-old man, that had hit his car earlier.
